Another element will be the theme ‘The Sampling of Cultures’. Folkloric and ethnic prints will be shown in a new context. A dialogue between cultures will create a new and merged imagery. A contemporary aesthetic for the ethnic.
Furthermore attention for a technical revolution, manufacturing methods enable the creation of complex and exciting new textiles. Modernism was all square and efficient, but now we have other machines and materials and there is an explosion of possibilities.
